The JOURNAL OF QURAN SUNNAH EDUCATION AND SPECIAL NEED (J-QSS) is an internationally refereed online journal published by the Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. The mission of J-QSS is to encourage scholarly research in Islamic education and special need.  The Journal provides a unique peer-reviewed forum to postgraduate students, scholars, professors, and researchers in various topics within Quran Sunnah education and Special Need. The Journal welcomes research papers as well as review articles and conference reports.  J-QSS will be published in June and December annually. J-QSS will publish empirical and theoretical papers (e.g. a critical review of research). The Journal has an international advisory board. The international perspective is also reflected by the journals quadrilingual approach: J-QSS welcomes papers in English

J-QSS invites articles between 3,000 to 5,000 words in length excluding references, tables and figures. The articles can be from any of the following areas: Curriculum and Pedagogy, Innovation in Teaching & Learning, Issues related to Islamic Education system, Teaching & Learning Approach and strategies, Learning Environment, Life-Long Learning, Education for Adults, Trainings and education for educators, Comparison between education systems, Islamic Education, The teaching of values and moral, The teaching of the Quran, Educational Institutions, Educational philosophies and thinking, E-learning, Management of educational institutions and the systems and others.
